Blah.

Geez, today was short. It seemed so SHORT. It was weird….

I had a math quiz, worked on my science project, worked on my english essay, attended a mandatory lecture for my grade about the dangers of the internet, and made meringues. That’s pretty much my day, in a nutshell. Nothing much happened, I didn’t do much. A dull day.

Tomorrow I’m going on a field trip! To a competition!

YAY!

Okay. Sorry for the INSANELY boring post.

Tired of waiting, tired of waiting for youuuuuuuuuuuuu. Sorry…old song from the ’60s that I LOVE! But I am tired. I’m EXHAUSTED. SO I was supposed to wake up at 5:30 this morning, but my alarm clock forgot to go off or something. So I roll out of bed at 6:30, shove down my breakfast (an Odwalla bar–love them), and grab my sweatshirt just in time for Becky to pick me up in time to get to my singing group!

I practically slept through the day (though we got chocolates in History 😀 ), and I had to walk home (2 miles) in FLIP FLOPS. I have huge blisters between my toes. And to top it off, on friday I have to wear flip-flops because of the competition. This SUCKS.

Gym, actually, wasn’t that bad though. Sure, I sucked at the game (Racket Whackit/Smackit/Crackit…or whatever), but Oberon transfered to our team! I was drudging to the outfield with my friends (he was behind us) and I was complaining–as usual–about gym class.

Me: Why can’t we just WATCH baseball? I’m fine with that, I just can’t PLAY it!

And then Oberon goes, “Oh yeah, I smell you, Girl!” And I, being the sad person that I am, sniffed the air. He goes, “It’s a term, Lena…but you smell powder fresh, don’t worry”. This is a sure sign, I think! 😀 😀

Well, that was my day. I’m staying in Science during lunch to finish my project 😛 and I have to write like, 5 essays this weekend.

As always,

Helena

And when it’s sunny, it’s blinding! We’ve been experiencing bipolar weather for the past day now. And, in addition to that, LOTS of news!

I had a history test today that I forgot about (of course) and I practically failed (87% is the approximate calculation I did in my head. Which is failing). An exciting thing did happen in history, though. Well, I came in to find my desk moved up a row, and all the desks separated. This meant that I could no longer sit next to Abi. I sat at my desk, which was moved next to Samantha’s. But Sofia came in and asked if she could sit where I was, and I could have the desk next to it (hers). Well, I agreed, and was pleased to find myself seated next to Demetrius! After class we had a nice discussion about “To Kill a Mockingbird” and whether it was obvious that Tom Robinson would be charged or not. I said it wasn’t, he said it was. Well, he shouldn’t have been!

At the end of the day, it started POURING. And I did NOT want to walk 3 miles in the rain. Luckily, my friend Tammy got her mum to drive me. She ROCKS!

So here I am, writing. I should probably shut up now, and do my math homework.

Ew. I have gym tomorrow. Oh well. You’ll be hearing from me again soon!

I just bought the Neutrogena Wave! It’s so COOL!

It’s pink and cute and although it made my skin a little dry it was really awesome. I LOVE IT!

YAY!

Well, it’s memorial day. I am bored. I have homework, but I don’t want to do it! I bought the Sims 2 Castaway Stories yesterday, so I’m thinking I should play it. It’s really fun!
But my stupid graphics accelerator or w/e keeps malfunctioning. It’s intel mobile GMA or whatever. If someone can help me with this that would be AWESOME!

Well, sorry for the boring, no-subject post. I should have more to write about tomorrow.

Love,

Helena 🙂

Hey there! It’s been a week or so–sorry for not posting for a bit. Anyway. It’s almost the end of the school year! We had our last day of state-provided standardized tests (well for me anyway, the rest of my classmates are stuck with them until the 10th grade :D), and there are only 24 days until the end of school! (Counting weekends/holidays). Well it’s Memorial Day weekend, so we’ve got no school on monday. My parental units are going away for a week or so, so I’m staying with my aunt. It kind of sucks because she can’t drive, but I’m mooching off of my friends :). I have singing group EVERY morning next week though. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday I am getting NO sleep. And then on Friday with the group we’re going to an amusement park for a competition. YAY!

So that’s my life for the week. Wahoo!

I finished an english story…uh…I got a 100% on my math quiz! Though our midterms came out–I got a B- in math. I gotta fix that…heh. I KNOW I can do better, I’m just lazy. That’s the sad truth. I wish I had more self-discipline. >:-( (That’s an angry face)

Ok so recently I’ve been listening to Regina Spektor’s stuff, and she’s AMAZING! I love her songs. Especially On the Radio, Fidelity, and Samson. You don’t wanna hear about my crapness though.

Well, ttyl!

I’ve always wanted to start a secret society. With fancy induction ceremonies, secret meetings, and sacred rituals. It’s just seemed so cool to me. But I don’t know where and when to start one, and who I should start one with. I’m thinking that at my new private school, I could start one. But maybe I should make a game plan first…

Anyhow, here’s an article I found on the subject. My plan is below.

How to Create a Secret Society

from wikiHow – The How to Manual That You Can Edit

Have you always wanted to be in an exclusive club, but never known of any? Do you wish to be viewed as chic and sophisticated? Start a secret society with only your coolest and closest friends.

Steps

  1. Get a secret! A secret society has a secret to protect. The Illuminati are said to have a secret plan to take over the world (and is said to already be working).
  2. Read a few clique-like books for some background information. Get any number of your friends to read these books. Privately talk with one of your closest friends whom you know will love the idea of starting a secret society.
  3. Think of a name. You and your closest friend should discuss what your secret society should be called. Also discuss who you will induct. Remember, even if you have a large group of (really good) friends, not all of them are secret society material. They won’t find out, as it is a secret society.
  4. Conduct a proper initiation for you and your closest friend. This should be done before you initiate others. That way, you are sure to come up with a good idea. The initiation is one of the most important parts of the society. It has to be something neither of you would do normally. Candle-lighting sets a serious and official tone, and symbolic objects are a must.
  5. Figure out what your society does. There have to be rules. Set a schedule for fun things you can do, ie. dressing alike on certain days, or having monthly rituals. Have fun with it! It’s all about your creativity.
  6. Find potential members. Subtly drop something related to your secret in a conversation with a friend to figure out how they feel about it. Make sure there’s no possibility they ever betray you, make sure they will be okay with the rules. Don’t mention your secret society until you are absolutely sure they can be completely trusted.
  7. Induct your members. Invite your friends to a sleepover and then spring it on them. They will be surprised and excited, and thrilled because they are special.
  8. Keep quiet and have fun. Your friends and you will be closer than ever.

Warnings

  • If you are only choosing certain friends amongst a clique, be prepared to deal with questions if one of your unchosen friends finds out about your secret society; have answers and excuses meticulously prepared!
